  • Working on service calls – initial analysis of the problem

Requirements:

Relevant education
  • Students – from second year
  • Bachelor's degree
 
Knowledge and Requirements
  • Comprehensive technical background in computers/internet/information/libraries
  • High analytical skills
  • Ability to self-teach new subjects
  • Background in programming languages – advantage
  • Preference will given to those with experience in industry or technological units in the army (programming background/QA)
  • 100 hours/month

24x7 Analyst

Job Description:

 
Position Description:
Ex Libris Global Operations Business Unit is seeking an analyst for the 24/7 HUB operation. The 24/7 HUB monitors and oversees the entire Exlibris cloud and is meant to provide fast resolution to critical rising issues.   
 
Responsibilities include:
Work with and operate various monitoring and control systems.
Analyze and resolve critical issues within the cloud as they rise from the various monitoring systems.
Analyze and resolve weekly and monthly software update issues.
Perform analysis of critical cases raised by customers for all company products.
Maintain communication with clients and different elements within the organization.
Scripting and fixing new/existing monitoring checks.
Maintain a general overview of all activities performed in the cloud and raise red flags when relevant.
 
Relevant education:
BA degree in a relevant field – Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a relevant retraining course
 

Requirements:

 

Required professional experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Linux system 
Basic understanding of network and application monitoring concepts and management tools, such as Nagios, Zenoss or similar.
Experience providing service and communicating with a large scale customer base
Experience in technical analysis 
Familiarity with Oracle, My SQL, Cassandra, Hadoop – advantage
Experience in a round the clock call center, NOC or HUB – advantage
Knowledge in scripting language (C-shell, bash, Perl) and programing – advantage
Knowledge in storage and backup – advantage
Knowledge in networking diagnosis – advantage
 
Required Languages  
English at a very high level both written and spoken
Additional languages will be considered an advantage
